Crafters Resources
Crafters resources covers different topics to assist you with beginning a new business venture.
When you have reached the decision to sell your handmade crafts then you begin to plan your "marketing". This will include where, when and how.
Crafters Resources.....Marketing
Since you probably specialize in a type of skill or craft type, this is good even if you have thought to yourself that you don't have enough inventory or variety and you won't have enough people interested in what you do. My advice is to throw that thought out of your mind now because there is no one person or business that reaches everyone! Instead, focus on what you do, (it's your expertise, right?) and find the willing "targeted buyer" who is interested in your skill.
It is good in the marketing sense because you "specialize" in one specific skill or craft and what that means is you will be selling/marketing to a "specific" group of buyers who are interested in what you can supply them with.
Therefore your marketing efforts should be unique and specific to maximize your sales and growth potential. There are ton's of great crafters resources on the internet for you to learn from before you jump in and put your money on the line, so take your time and PLAN WELL, ASK QUESTIONS, LEARN MORE!
Crafters Resources/Business Cards
If you are interested in getting business cards but don't want to order hundreds to start with, then I have provided a link below. I still use this company myself and have been very happy with the service and quality.
All of your print work is part of marketing and advertising! It gets your name, contact information, logo, business and web site address out for all to see, so before you print, P-L-A-N! Use it to the max.
Shop around by calling your local printers and asking about prices and minimums. Do you have a logo or design. Find out the charge for all the ink colors and plate charges along with paper types and quality.
With this on-line printing Company, you will receive 250 FREE Business Cards. You will only be charged a small shipping charge, around $5-6 dollars. This is a way for you to get enough cards to get you started without having to spend a lot of money. There are many designs to choose from and you can design them how you like. Choose from a selection of designs or upload your own artwork.
There is no catch. The only thing that is different about the free cards is Vista adds their logo to the back of the card. It is a small logo on the bottom back of card only. The card stock and ink are high quality. It's a great deal and you can change your design as you need to without buying 500 cards, which is usually the minimum amount you must order from most printers. Cards without the Logo are available also at a great price!
250 FREE color business cards! An $85 value!
Be sure to include your Web Site URL (www.yourcompany.com) on all your print-work if you have or you are getting a web site! Print work includes: business cards, invoices, checks, receipts, flyers, signage, etc.

Selling on the Internet/Finding a Host
Finding a Web Site Host:
If people cannot find your web site, you will not be successful!
Targeted traffic is the key to net income.
E-commerce: doing business on-line, the internet.
Consumers on the internet are searching for specific information that they are interested in , want or need. If you have what they are looking for, then they will be targeted (directed) to your site. This is the traffic you want!
Targeted traffic. So you must write your web pages with good informative, solid content to attract your "targeted market". Example: I am looking to buy some apples. I come to your site, and find that you sell oranges but no apples, then you do not have what I am looking for and I will leave. (Unless you refer me to someone who sells apples that you are affiliated with.....and from that apple site, they should be sending you traffic also from the exchanged link you both agreed on!) Point being - Specific keywords, well written web pages is how you get ranked best at search engines!
There are general keywords and specific keywords. General keywords using the example above would be; produce, fruit. Specific ones would be; oranges, tangerines, (and any specific type of orange that you sell). While the general keywords are fine and good, you will do best with the specific ones. Think about how you use search engines and think about how other people may enter search terms to find your product or service. Are they looking to buy fruit? maybe, or are they looking to buy Gala apples and Granny Smith apples. By being specific, you are attracting a visitor who is looking for exactly what you have which will lead to a purchase. Any other visitor is not considered a targeted buyer. They may buy, but most likely not since you really don't have what they were originaly searching for (which was apples but they found your site because they searched for fruit and that was your keyword). Don't get me wrong, any traffic is good traffic (as far as traffic goes). But you are in business to make money so do your best to attract visitors who are already willing to buy what you sell. Get it!
Is all this confusing and hard work? Yes and extremely time consuming. If you do not do this correctly, you will have wasted your time and money. But, if you are serious and willing to put forth your best effort and you know you have a product, information, service, idea, need for additional income, etc., and you feel that the internet is where you want to be, then I am giving you the best!
It is called SBI.
There is nothing else like it out there. This is my recommendation and I can't say enough about this web site hosting and business building system.
You are looking at a SBI web site now, - no fancy design or blinking graphics, but a web site that has been written and designed about topics that interest me and hopefully help other mom's, people just starting out, or existing businesses that want to venture on to the internet highway. SBI will give you the best most honest complete advise and tools to make your dream a successful venture?
Am I selling anything? Yes....I make handmade soap and have many products available for purchase. I am proud of my products and am thrilled when I gain a new customer. I am thrilled when I gain someone's trust. Trust is the foundation of all good relationships. Personal and business!
I am not putting my neck on the chopping block here because I know SBI delivers everything they claim. Please save yourself from being disappointed by other hosting companies that may leave you in the dark and possibly deflate your success, time and money. If you follow the SBI guides and use the incredible time saving tools and expert advice, you will make it work. SBI guarantees it! You have my word on it too!
See for yourself. You are not going to believe how much support and all the features you will have available. How much does it cost, you ask? Less than you think. Totally priced right! You are given tools that I have never seen other companies offer without charging extra for. These tools are worth hundreds of dollars and save countless hours of your time and they are included free.
Research all of the advantages yourself and compare SBI to other hosting companies. I am a stranger and I don't expect you to take my word for it.
Once you compare SBI with other companies, you will understand my recommendation since there is no way I could put all the benefits here. But please...if right now is not a good time for you, then bookmark this page or bookmark the linking page. This is an important decision in making your web site a success....so make sure you have time when researching and planning. It will save you from mistakes later.
